Pipavav receives average rainfall of 500mm per annum during the monsoon months of June to September, out of which about 250mm of rainfall occurs during July.

During the NorthEast monsoon period from December to March the wind is from the North and the intensity is in the range of 13-19 km/h. During the pre-monsoon period from April to May the wind direction is from the North-West with the intensity of 13-19 km. During the Southwest monsoon period from June to September the predominant wind direction is mainly SouthWesterly with the intensity 30-50 km/h. During the post-monsoon period from October to November, the predominant wind direction is North-North-East with the intensity of 13-19kmph.
