• The candidate should have appropriate qualification & experience in similar shipping industry or port operations. Preference shall be given to Graduates.
• Knowledge of basic English.
• Must have average skills in standard Windows applications and mail clients such as Outlook or Outlook Express.
  

Job Profile :
The position shall be responsible on 24 x 7 basis for the following :

• In co-operation with Planning Manager set the overall yard strategy by assigning (flexible) allocation per service.
• Control yard space allocation by service, nominated vessel, pod, equipment type, special handling (i.e. hazardous, OOG, temperature controlled etc.) for empty and loaded equipment.
• Monitor and fine-tune the terminal operating system in order to ensure that yard planning is satisfactory and meets the strategy requirements.
• Prepare the 'yard work plan' on a daily basis and communicate to relevant persons where the equipment has to be located.
• Prepare the work flow related to housekeeping, empty movement, corrections etc.
• Report on a weekly basis to the Planning Manager on the status of production, yard density, equipment utilization and strategy/allocation changes.
• Nominate empty equipment for shipment as directed by the concerned shipping line.
• Performs other related duties as required or directed by reporting officer.
