Job Profile :
The position shall be responsible for the following :

• Define and implement network and data security policy and procedures
• Handle network planning, designing, development, deployment and modification/upgradation
• Hands on experience in configuring & installing manageable switches & routers
• Ensure that data communication within the company is reliable and of sufficient capacity (scalability) to meet business needs and growth
  Managing and optimally deploying and using IT and Communication Assets
• Conceptualise and implement VLANs
• Perform monitoring and analysis of intrusion detection and other security breaches.
• Perform regular firewall monitoring and maintenance
• Define and maintain VPN connections
• Manage the physical network infrastructure including wired and wireless local area network (LAN)
• Manage infrastructure servers : Active Directory, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Mail, RAS, Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server and Web Portals etc
• Test applications before installation on networks
• Manage the acquisition of new network hardware as required
• Monitor and control service levels of network suppliers
• Ensure detection of alerts from the network infrastructure
• Ensure that data communication packets are routed efficiently
• Provide regular feedback on network performance, both in general and against specific service levels
• Monitor bandwidth use, analyze traffic patterns and volumes and determine impact/implications of issues
• Investigate and diagnose incidents and problems (including resolution where possible)
• Document the resolution and recovery of assigned incidents
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field and apply pertinent new knowledge to performance of other responsibilities.
• Coordinate the utilization of existing equipment to optimize efficient and effective use.
