• The candidate should have appropriate qualification and background experience in a manufacturing / shipping / ports & terminal industry. Candidate matching the profile from other industry can also be considered.

• Must have average skills in standard Windows applications and mail clients such as Outlook or Outlook Express.

Job Profile :

The position shall be responsible on 24 x 7 basis for the following :

• Repairs and maintenance of heavy vehicles, mobile cranes, fork lifts, reach stackers.

• Repairs and maintenance in RTG, STS, MHC and ELLC.

• Repairs and maintenance of low and medium speed, fixed and variable rpm diesel engines of upto 1000-1500 HP.

• Workshop practices such as machining, turning, drilling, arc/TIG/MIG welding, jig boring, slotting, etc.

• Workshop management such as work flow processes, plant layout, tool room, etc.

• Inventory management of Engineering spares/ tools.

• Responsible for the planned maintenance & breakdown maintenance of equipment.

• Fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications as and when required for proper and safe functioning of all Workshop/quay/marine equipment.

• Familiarity with all types of Mechanical Engineering activities at a Port.

• Comprehensive knowledge on Diesel Engines and Workshop management.

• Develop and implement preventive measures in coordination with the concerned department.
