• The candidate should have appropriate qualification and background experience in a manufacturing / shipping / ports / & terminal industry. Candidate matching the profile from other industry can also be considered. Experience on Cranes & cargo handling systems will be preferred.
• Must have average skills in standard Windows applications and mail clients such as Outlook or Outlook Express.

Job Profile :

The position shall be responsible on 24 x 7 basis for the following :

• Responsible for PLC , AC – DC Drives, CMS , LT & HT switch, calibration of measuring equipments , weighing / load measuring systems , DG sets , conveyor control systems , relays and contactors.
• Responsible for shift duties and to achieve desired output of Instrumentation and Electrical technicians working at Yard.
• Responsible for the planned maintenance, breakdown maintenance of Instrumentation and Controls Services as per Department Head’s direction, and thereby ensuring that productivity and efficiency standards are met in support of the Container and Bulk Terminal .
• Fault finding, troubleshooting and modifications as and when required for proper and safe functioning of assigned Instrumentation and Controls installations at Port.
• Provide reliable service to Operations Department, ensuring the required equipment availability and reliability.
• Ensure safety, health and environmental working conditions are followed at all times.
• Provide regular process control checks, identify shortcomings and forthcoming obsolescence and initiate and support performance improvement action.
• Responsible for warranty obligation as applicable to all equipment under his supervision and as defined in all contracts where SPS is a party on it. Submit them to Senior Technical Manager for proper action.
• Develop and implement preventive measures in coordination with the concerned department.
